Golf - Nearby ( about 2-3 miles / 3.2-5 Km's) is "L'Olivarie, an 18 holes course with resident professional and a nice club house. Two other courses, smaller than the first, are "La Forge" , just outside Siorac, about 1 mile (1.6 Km's) from Haute-Rive, and "La Nauze", a mini golf course , about 3-4 miles (5-6.5 Km's) south, just before the village of Fongauffier in the direction of Belvès.

Canoeing & kayaking - In many places around the Dordogne you can rent canoes and/or kayaks. The closest is at the bridge of Siorac, but also in Le Buisson (5.5 miles /9 Km's to the west), Limeuil (10 miles / 16 Km's), Le Bugue (11 miles / 18 Km's) St. Cyprien (5 miles / 8 Km's to the east), Beynac (10.5 miles / 17 Km's) and other places.

Rock climbing - can be done on the cliffs facing Castelnaud.

Horse riding - horse riding is also a current activity. A few horse farms can be found between St. Cyprien and Les Eyzies, and many other places around the area.

Other leisure activities - hiking is very popular in france, and the Périgord Noir is blessed with beautiful hiking treks, good maps, marked trails, make it an enjoyable activity. you will also enjoy cycling, quad-biking (the nearest is in Urval, halfway to Le Buisson), tree climbing and forest activities are to be found in the outskirts of Sarlat, to the east.
