A rental agreement for Haute-Rive:

Signed between Yaël West-Dalnoky/Antoine Dalnoky/Daniel Eilat or one of them (For Hauterive sur Dordogne Property)

And Mr./Mrs.[NAME] ________________________________(as the renters)

The Accommodation: Self-catering 17th century house perched over the bank of the Dordogne river at the outskirts of the village of Siorac en Périgord.

Floor area: 290m² (approx. 3000 ft²).

Occupancy: Maximum number of people 10, including children. No refund is payable if the number of occupants is less then 10. (8 are the most comfortable number at the house, as 2 will have to use a sofa sleeper in the Family room).

Pets aren’t allowed. Smoking is not allowed inside the house.

House Cleaning/Laundry: Cleaning is done on Saturday’s, between rentals, if you rent the house for 2 weeks or more you will get the Saturday linen change and cleaning. Also 3 hours of light cleaning every Wednesday, is included in your rent. If you wish to have more you may talk to the key holder, and arrange it directly thought her. She will charge you the current rate and you will pay her directly.

Problems: any problems which occur during occupancy should first be reported to Danny Eilat, who lives on the property. If he is not available, you can contact Sandrine De Murcia. We promise to take care of problems as soon as possible. All phone numbers will be given to you with the instructions for the property, with your final payment.

Limitation of Liability: The liability of Yael West-Dalnoky and Antoine Dalnoky or their agents shall be limited to the amount of any rentals and deposit paid. In no event shall Yael West-Dalnoky, Antoine Dalnoky or their agents be liable for consequential damages. The house has central heating for winter, coolers and ventilators in all bedrooms. Bed linens, towels and pool towels are provided.

Kitchen: fully equipped with refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave oven, 4 ring stove + 2 ovens, grill, coffee machine.

Living Room: fireplace (use only after contacting the caretaker).

Dining: table with 10 seats (1 highchair available), sofa bed & seating for 8-12 people.

Entertainment (in family room): TV+ satellite with French and English channels, CD/DVD and VHS (with a few video-tapes available. Some board games are available too.

Also in the Family room is a sofa-bed that opens into a double bed in case of need.

Master Suite: on the upper floor there is the master suite with a large bedroom (queen-sized bed) overlooking the river to the north and the front yard to the south. The en suite bathroom is appointed with Jacuzzi, WC and an exceptionally wide shower with twin showerheads and 6 jets.

Bedrooms: Beside the master suite there are two other bedrooms on the upper floor, one overlooking the river, with a double-bed, and the other overlooking the front yard, with twin trundle beds. These two rooms share a WC and a shower-room. A third double bedroom is on the ground floor, overlooking the front yard. It has its own en suite WC+ shower room.

The Front yard: This is where you will park your cars (The caretaker who lives in an apartment under the kitchen will park his car outside the yard just before the gate). The barn is not included in the rental, it serves as storage for tools, furniture and firewood.

BBQ: You have a nice BBQ place with a table seating 10-12 people. You can get firewood or charcoals in the “Intermarché” (supermarket).

Swimming Pool: The swimming pool is not covered so at the beginning or the end of the season water may be quite cool. We can heat the pool upon request provided the initial water temperature is 20°c at least. We allow no more than 26°c as the water will be stale. The charge for heating the pool is 75 Euros per week(or part of the week). The swimming pool is secured by a state of the art infra red alarm system. Upon check in you will receive the keys to operate the system, as well as an explanation of how to do it. It is YOUR responsibility to start and stop the system, you only will decide if and when to use the alarm.

Phone: You can use the phone at will. At the end of your stay we will check with the phone company and settle the phone bill.

Internet: We have an internet connection you can use if you have your own computer. It is a broadband ADSL connection that will be available on demand, and will be charged 10 euros per day (to be paid directly to the caretaker).

Canoes: We have two canoes you can use. Once you sign a disclaimer and take complete responsibility you can receive the keys to the chains as well as the equipment that goes with the canoes (paddles and life vests)

Payments and charges:

Rental Request/ Reservation Deposit: 1/3 of total rental cost must accompany a copy of this booking. Upon issuance of the confirmation, the reservation deposit is non refundable. You are urged to consider cancellation insurance, available through your travel agent, or the Internet. Reservation requests are subject to prior bookings.

Final Payment: The remaining 2/3 of the rental cost plus 1000 Euros security deposit is due 8 weeks prior to the first day of rental period. Any notice of cancellation must reach the West-Dalnoky’s in writing 10 weeks before first rental date. Deposits are not refundable, but we will be happy to transfer the deposit towards a different reservation, for the same amount of people.

Security Deposit: A security deposit in the amount of 1000 Euros is required. This deposit is due with your final payment and is refundable in case of cancellation at any time. This deposit will be returned to you no later then 45 days after departure, less phone charges or damage to the property, if any. Judgment on the condition of the property is left to the key holder /guardian of Haute Rive. He will discuss it with you prior to your leaving, if possible.

Cleaning Fee: Every guest pays a 150 - euros fee for cleaning on the departure day.

Arrival/Departure: Rental begins at 5:00 PM the day of arrival and terminates at 9:00 on days of departure. ARRIVAL TIME IS: 5:00 PM till 6:30 PM. You will be greeted by Sandrine De Murcia when you get to Haute rive. If you can’t make it between 5:00 PM and 6:30PM you will have to call her and let her know what time you will be there and make arrangements with her directly. We understand that coming from far away can make it difficult to make an on time arrival, it is your responsibility to let her know and she will do her best to accommodate you.
